when will the get a mac campaign end?! i believe, NEVER! you know that since apple has been branding itself the hipper, cooler, younger, more reliable operating system-and some of the geniuses at their advertising department have released such ads as:

anyway, do you know what two things that have been exported from the good o’le state of tennessee? one is my favorite buddy jack (jack daniel’s bourbon that is) and our good old jackass friend johnny knoxville.

according to vallywag.co, rumor has it that mr. knoxville will be the new ‘hipper’ spokesperson for microsoft, in order to retaliate some of the negative branding that apple has caused. vallywag says that they received the following statement from waggener edstrom, microsoft’s PR firm, when inquiring about the potential deal with knoxville: “microsoft is planning a consumer advertising campaign with crispin porter & bogusky. we have no other details to share at this time.”

i wonder if this washed up jackass can bring some positive branding to microsoft flailing image.

i just read an interesting article from businessweek on how the oldest chinese beer producer is trying to break into the american market. i know that corona is the number one exporter of beer in the world, but how did they achieve this? according to me it has been in effect because grupo model who own corona have used awesome marketing tactics branding corona as a tropical and recreational drink that will make you feel that great messican sun on your skin. if you want to read the article for yourself chex out the link
